Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Africa and MTV Base (DStv Channel 322) are poised to celebrate African music, creativity and achievement at the fifth MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA), which holds at Durban International Convention Centre (ICC), KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa on Saturday, July 18. The announcement, which was made simultaneously in South Africa and Nigeria, had top celebrities in attendance and the theme for this year’s event is Evolution. The awards will recognize and reward musicians and achievers who have made the most impact on African youth culture over the last 12 months.
